First Things First: Pick Your Color Scheme
Often, when we think of Thanksgiving, the colors that come to mind are burnt orange, warm tan tones, and goldenrod--and actually, those are all lovely colors and if you love them, use them. But that said, there's also no reason not to depart from the norm and experiment with other color options. For Thanksgiving you can go beyond just orange and tan and brown and it can still feel inviting, warm, and seasonal. Your decor and the color scheme that you select will serve as the backdrop to all of the connections and meaningful moments you cultivate. Connectivity and conversation are the centerpieces, and the decor is the backdrop and the facilitator to that. Your decor fosters the mood.Click to shop!

Don't Be Afraid to Let Your Personality Shine
When setting your table, consider where you want to have some fun and let your own personality shine through in your decor choices--think: a colorful floral arrangement and candlesticks, or a fall basket as a centerpiece. If you’d like to go more classic on the centerpiece, then think about using napkins, napkin rings, your tablecloth and runner, or placemats to add color and flare. Thanksgiving, for me, is a time to spend time with family and with loved ones. It’s a time to bring in traditions and a moment to define what your family traditions are. This is a moment to create a timestamp to say “this is how I want it to be--this is how I want to host, who I want to invite, and the conversations I want to have, and the mood I want to create.” That’s how I think about hosting and defining my tabletop--I think about how I want it to feel.Click to shop!
